Our plans fell apart, so we're having a very small gathering today, not even sure about food. I might pick up some easy things to make for Falk and friends. At least this year, I'll actually be able to watch the commercials. The past two years, it was too chaotic/loud to hear the commercials...or the game, what with having 20 or so people over.

Smaller plans for me too. Watching it over at my dads with some BBQ pork to eat!

I'm not watching the game. I'm going to watch the Bruins and Maple Leaf's game from yesterday.

Missed a good game, and some good commercials... if you like to see a team get spanked, the first half was a good half... if you like to see a close game... then the second half was pretty good... well... kinda... after the power outage thing the 49ers were kicking the crap out of the Ravens... but not enough to ever take the lead, or to win...

and yes, I said power outage... right at the start of the second half... cause a 34 minute delay... really threw the Ravens off there groove.

That power outage was insane. I looked at Falk and said, "Haven't we already seen this game? At Candlestick Park?"

I was SO disappointed with the commercials. They sucked! I mean, there were a couple of good commercials but this is the Super Bowl... the commercials are supposed to be awesome. Really disappointed in the commercials. Great halftime show and the power outage was pretty cool too. I joked on Facebook and said "How do you know when Gods team is losing the Super Bowl? He knocks power out of half the stadium!"

I was rooting for the 49'ers simply because my son was going for the Ravens. I had no vested interest in either team. I prefer the close games so I enjoyed the second half the best.

There were a few good commercials, I liked the Ram commercial the best. :) The game was entertaining at least!

I was disappointed with the commercials. I did like the Volkswagen "Jamaican accent" commercial, but all in all, just not a clever year for advertisers. The game was good, and the power failure had me cringing for the Superdome staff.

My plan was to head down to New Orleans with my buddy Joe and Tim (not Knoxville Joe, Detroit Joe ;) ), but I decided to go into surgery on Friday and basically spend the next couple of days in vicodin heaven. In reflection, I thought it was rather fun, missed out on the commercials though.

Yeah, in general, there were a few good commercials, but not enough to really enjoy them. I thought the half-time show could have been a bit more singing and less dancing in skimpy clothing. My favorite part of the whole thing was the power outage because of the very interesting tweets being sent out. They made it worth it, they really did.
