Current NFL

Postby FSF Falk » Wed Oct 10, 2012 1:02 pm

So, are we starting to see any separation? Any surprises in the league this year? I think he fact Houston is doing so great is 1) amazing and 2) I hope it lasts. That's a franchise that needs a quality season, just like my poor ol' Lions need to SUSTAIN THEIR SEASONS.

Surprises: Green Bay doing terrible. I did not see that one coming, at all.. Vikings... WTF?! who are these people?! The SAints: Yea, I thought they might be bad, but not this terrible. The world is being all weird!

While I enjoy watching a good game... to be honest I don't follow it enough to know much about surprises... though I do like watching the Atlanta, and Houston games, both 5 - 0 I believe... always exciting to see teams going for perfect seasons.

That all being said...

GO COWBOYS

and...

GO PATRIOTS

Well, Bri, I think both are routinely losing each week right now. The Cowboys have the same record as my Lions.. who beat the Iggles on sunday, btw, and are facing DA BEARS on MNF this week.

THe Lions Destroyed the Jags this week. Wow that was pretty bad. When Detroit's run game is firing on all cylinders and scores all the TDs, that is never good. :)

Yeah, never good when I am playing Stafford for my QB and I'm relying on those points :(

The "Boys" may be 5-5, but if they have a tough schedule down the stretch, I don't see how they can pull it out this time and make the playoffs, especially with a sub-par QB leading them. Romo has thrown 13 INTs, good for 2nd most in the league and he's been sacked 24 times, good for 9th, and the 8 other QBs ahead of him are part of below 500. teams.

and for the first time in 6 years ((I think)) the Cowboys lost the Thanksgiving game... against the Redskins... not jumping teams here... but as a native american... I must say I do get a certain amount of satisfaction having the "Redskins" beat the "Cowboys" on Thanksgiving...

They still blew a chance to win the game in OT. Can't always blame things on the refs, but I must admit there have been some terrible calls this year

There wouldn't have been an overtime if the rule hadn't been stupidly written. I get what the NFL was trying to cut down on, but seriously...how did ALL of the refs on the field miss an obvious knee AND elbow on the ground?? Blown calls that change the outcome of a game are crappy, all the way around. At least the NFL is changing the rule.

Yeah, the Cowboys have been bumming me out this year and I was sad that they lost on Thanksgiving though it was a pretty decent comeback in my opinion. And yes, the call on the Lions game was ridiculous! He should have been ruled down. Sometimes I think the refs are in lala land. hahaha

NE vs Denver in the AFC Title

NFC is a lot more muddled. I was thinking the Falcons, but not so much anymore... Giants could make another run.

playoff field is set, what team will win the super bowl?

I think it'll be the Falcons vs Broncos for the super bowl, and it wouldn't surprise me if the Broncos win it all.

I have to agree with your Falcons vs Broncos SB prediction. Although, I think Seattle might be a dark horse who may make a surprise appearance. Their defense is insane and Russel Wilson is on fire.
